Job Summary:

Bodybuilding.com is currently seeking a Head of HR Administration to lead the operational HR team. Working with the different functions of the HR team and in partnership with the management teams, responsibilities will vary according to the needs of the business area, ranging from enabling performance management, employee relations, employee communications, change management, talent management, organizational development, and total rewards. He or she will be working on projects that support the business functions through a period of significant change during this exciting chapter of our company. Emphasis on delivering a proactive and flexible HR service, by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, while driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, policies and employment regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and supervises all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefit programs; develop, implement, and control such programs in a manner that ensures cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity among employees
  • Analyzes and directs all functional related activities within the score of the HRIS including but not limited to project coordination, data integrity, reporting, and end-user training
  • Responsible for managing ER issues by participating in the investigation and the resolution of employee relations problems; anticipate problems whenever possible, and develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution; provide advice, support and training to managers, ensuring rules and regulations are followed appropriately by law; consults with legal counsel as appropriate
  • Drives the roll out of performance management, including developing appropriate templates and processes, providing training, coaching and support to managers and ensuring standards are achieved across all functions
  • Develops, recommends, implements, communicates, and reviews personnel policies, procedures and practices; provides guidance to management teams and staff in HR matters interpreting policies and procedures according to federal and state laws and regulations
  • Supports the wider team in the delivery of HR elements of organizational and cultural change activities such as restructures including assisting with preparing necessary documentation, keeping records and tracking actions, ensuring organization units are updated
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance; provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resource discipline
  • Develops organization strategies, plans, and programs by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to the organization's strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Establishes credibility and builds effective partnerships throughout the organization as an effective listener and problem solver to enable the delivery of Bodbyulding.com initiatives
  • Supervises the HR Admin Team and Front Desk, sets objectives for the team and monitors performance
  • Participates on committees and special projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive generalist HR experience with demonstrated success in the areas of compensation, benefits and HRIS
  • Excellent communication skills through various forms, with always leaving the customer WOWed
  • Organization is key as you navigate the agile environment, while remaining resourceful and efficient
  • Excellent prioritizing skills, while identifying resources for projects and utilizing the time management process
  • Quick on your feet: manage multiple projects throughout the workday and deliver with punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail and insistence on accuracy
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and personable
  • Agility is required as we are a fast-paced environment focused on high performance standards
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Strong organizational, time management and process management skills necessary to maintain high volume workload
  • Must have a strong sense of initiative and solid judgment; must have the ability to make sound and sensible decisions

Education and Experience:

  • 3 plus years as an HR Manager, preferred experience centered on compensation and benefits
  • Degree in Human Resources or related fields preferred, but not necessary
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations
  • Experience in organizations that have undergone significant growth, change, and/or international expansion strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting global/distributed organizations strongly preferred
  • Some periodic travel will be necessary
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
