Our International client specializes in helping global markets and b2b retailers and brands to connect, showcase their products, trade, innovate and grow via a series of highly renowned online and offline activities. Increasingly retail are doing business online, finding the right supplier and making informed purchasing decisions. Within one of their exciting and transforming portfolios, this is a newly created role building a new division within digital transformation.
Looking for a full time Digital Strategist who can come into the business and give direction on their digital strategy with long term vision and set up a profitable digital b2b retail market place. You will have experience of building a b2b digital business from either a start up environment, SMB or a large matrix organization. You will have experience of launching and operationally driving forward b2b digital marketplace / e-commerce / online platforms where brands and buyers can connect and do business, in addition to leveraging current/additional assets into digital and data monetization. You will have excellent leadership skills in building and leading multi-functional teams working closely and collaborating with the technology team, digital product, sales, marketing, customer fulfilment and operations etc.
Reporting to C-Suite, you will play a leading role in the development of a digital strategy for the business.
Lead and manage day to day operations for the existing digital products, services, apps currently in place within this portfolio.
Build, lead and develop a multi-functional team that includes product / project management, sales, marketing etc and leverage existing teams with capacity to support initiatives.
Develop the team's skills and careers as you build the business.
Work closely with the global senior team across sales, marketing, operations and technology leaders globally to deliver on strategy.
Work with sales leaders to set commissions and incentives to deliver digital revenue targets.
Responsible for commercial result and P&L.
Experience of running a digital business unit or digital product portfolio within b2b e-commerce
P&L responsibility and evidence of growth
Experience of setting, revising and delivering budgets
Led and managed multi-functional teams within a matrix-environment
Digital experience in b2b retail and e-Commerce
Track record of launching and operationally managing digital products
International experience ideally
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Comfortable with a transformational, changing environment
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Savvy in Microsoft tools and programs and project/program management skills
