We are looking for a motivated behavioral health leader who's not afraid to get their hands dirty and bring their expertise to our team as we fight back against the opioid crisis. The Head of Behavioral Health will be responsible for oversight of the behavioral health staff, clinical leadership on medication assisted treatment and behavioral health interventions, and ongoing staff improvement and training.
Works to enhance the quality of service offerings driven by the behavioral health team.
Efficiently works across teams and regularly attends interdisciplinary team meetings in development of programs.
Monitors effective and appropriate use of integrated behavioral health services at Workit Health. Assesses need, planning, coordination and implementation of behavioral health services at Workit Health and develops appropriate training/interventions.
Uses thorough knowledge of current trends in local, state and federal programs in the behavioral healthcare field to assist medical providers with integration of best practices.
Assumes responsibility for the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for the behavioral health department.
In collaboration with Operations, communicates and monitors clinician productivity benchmarks and quality metrics.
Supports Behavioral Health clinicians in achieving established benchmarks.
Coordinates with various teams including Account Success, Development and Design, and Marketing in the implementation of product and/or workflow updates affecting the behavioral health teams.
Serves on necessary committees and learning groups in county and state-wide efforts, e.g., in coordination with Workit Health efforts.
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Integrates the measurement of clinical quality and service standards with those of strategic planning and operations management.
Creates a culture of quality and excellent customer service.
In collaboration with HR, hires, trains and oversees new behavioral health staff.
Provides direct supervision and mentorship to assigned staff and internship participants.
Ensures assigned staff maintain a high level of ethical and professional standards. Ensures compliance, accuracy and quality of clinical documentation.
Through collaboration with IT, generates guidelines to support use of the EHR for appropriate documentation of behavioral health screenings and visit documentation.
Maintains and oversees quality of client records.
Conducts performance reviews individually and with HR as scheduled.
Addresses feedback related to behavioral health staff performance, adherence to policies, and customer service with speed and consideration.
Assists in addressing concerns and resolving problems in a solution based platform.
Advocates and collaborates with community partners to raise awareness and fight stigma. Guides clinical policy development decisions.
Provides clinical support to the behavioral health teams in all states, specifically in the event of complex case consultations.
Supervises expansion growth of all clinical programs.
Promotes the mission of Workit Health through networking and professional relationships in the field of Medication Assisted Treatment.
Maintains professional competence by pursuing opportunities for continuous learning, attending continuing education offerings, reading professional literature, and engaging in other activities which develop new knowledge and skills.
Master’s Degree LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC - Full licensure preferred
3+ years in addiction and/or mental health treatment
Understanding of addiction and evidenced-based practices
Organizational, decision making, scheduling, development, leadership, and communication skills
Supervisory experience requiredDemonstrated experience developing clinical programs in line with regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission
Managing the behavioral health team across all states
Ongoing guidance of clinical decisionsComfort and reliability with remote communication: Slack, Asana, video stand-ups.
Support in the hiring, training, and supervision of new team members
Responsible for the care management team and ensure the care team is providing quality care to our members
