Our Auto Lending team is growing to support the expansion, growth and success of the newly launched automotive lending program. We are an analytical and outgoing organization and are enthused by a passion for expanding access to effortless credit based on true risk in the automotive lending space.
How you’ll make an impact:
This role is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Powered by Upstart team in driving the expansion and growth of the auto product line with our bank partners and supporting the sale and onboarding of new bank partners. You will be the auto product expert that will be working closely with the sales team and the bank partners themselves in a sales environment, while also being a key leader on the product team to identify the highest impact product opportunities for our bank partners. This cross functional leader will have to be comfortable working with bank executives, building business cases, helping bank executives understand the value of the upstart product, while exploring bank needs and taking feedback from bank partners to help shape the auto program’s direction.
The life cycle of your projects will be focused on driving Upstart program adoption with bank partners, working with product teams to define and scope short term and long term product requirements and roadmaps, while helping shaping the overall auto strategy as it relates to the “Powered by Upstart” business.
At a high level, the role will require you to: Dive into the auto program as a leader, defining and executing against product strategy in a large cross functional team. The role will also require you to work hand in hand with product and sales teams to evaluate and analyze areas of greatest impact as you allocate limited resources. You will execute on your plans, both as an individual contributor and with teams while laying a foundation that can be built upon. 1-2 year goals include business success for the Powered by Upstart Auto program (defined by # of partners signed and $ of loans originated) and to ensure that individual projects don’t need you to keep moving forward, either by hiring the right replacement or by implementing efficient, self-sustaining processes for decision making and execution.
