The Hardware Engineer (HE) shall possess the following capabilities:
(U) analyzed hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors for program
(U) prepared functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions for program X for X years.
(U) ensured that problems with operational hardware were properly identified and solutions satisfied the user’s requirements
(U) conducted site surveys; assessed and documented site network configurations and site-unique requirements
(U) recommended specifications for hardware acquisitions f
(U) prepared engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages
(U) developed hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines
(U) prepared drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site
(U) prepared site installation a test reports
(U) configured computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment
(U)trained site personnel in the proper use of hardware
(U) prepared installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Travel: The selected candidate must be willing and able to travel, CONUS and OCONUS.
Experience in analyzing and testing the receive side of communication satellite systems (operating in the C, Ku, L Frequency Bands) that encompass antenna outputs through modem inputs.
Experience in integrating and testing all RF components or systems that demodulate analog and digital communications signals.
experience leading RF engineers and performing and publishing engineering studies.
The selected candidate must be willing and able to travel, CONUS and OCONUS.
