The Hardware Engineer (HE) shall possess the following capabilities:
(U) analyzed hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors for program
(U) prepared functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions for program X for X years.
(U) ensured that problems with operational hardware were properly identified and solutions satisfied the user’s requirements
(U) conducted site surveys; assessed and documented site network configurations and site-unique requirements
(U) recommended specifications for hardware acquisitions f
(U) prepared engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages
(U) developed hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines
(U) prepared drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site
(U) prepared site installation a test reports
(U) configured computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment
(U)trained site personnel in the proper use of hardware
(U) prepared installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Seven (7) years experience as an HE analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related disci-pline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Required one year of SIGINT RF domain experience.
