innRoad is looking for a Hands-On Senior Architect C# Microsoft Stack .NET to join our growing NYC team! Here at innRoad, we have a vibrant software practice with a product that has successfully been rolled out to hundreds of satisfied customers across North America. Our market leading, cloud-based, property management software helps our clients make critical business decisions every day. 

Must have Requirements:

  • 6+ years of hands-on programing in C# and the .NET Framework
  • 2+ years of architecting distributed applications that leverage multiple systems, databases, third party services, APIs, RESTFul, Web Services, and Middleware Systems like Biztalk, or RabbitMQ, or Service Bus or MSMQ
  • StrongExperienceworking with:
    • SQL Databases, Stored Procedures and TSQL
    • NET MVC applications and Web APIs
    • Client side technologies like:  ReactJS, Angular 2, Knockout JS, NET, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX
    • Multi-tier architectures and deployment
  • Strong Experience Designing database schemas for performance and scale
  • Hands on Experience on cloud computing either in Azure or AWS Cloud
  • Strong experience architecting high performance APIs
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
  • Ability to look at complex code and define path forward to create new functionality in top of it
  • Experience with: Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA


You will play a critical role in reviewing an existing code base and defining our future strategy to delivery new features in short order that the business needs while defining a longer-term strategy to make the application ready for future massive growth. We are looking for an energetic self-starter who is proactive in driving this strategy for forward. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work on defining and developing the technical architecture of new or existing products, customer portals, and internal tools
  • Join a group of lead architects to decide when to go from current monolithic to microservices architecture, and when to keep the current architecture based on business needs
  • Ability to make strategic decisions based on business needs and outcomes first and second on technology
  • Provide technical leadership to software development team on technologies, tools and frameworks.
  • Work well on a fast paced, agile engineering team
  • Solve problems with a team of software engineers
  • Be organized, goal oriented, and possess excellent ability to multitask
  • Mentor and coach developers to facilitate the broader adoption of architectural standards
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with other team members, on a global basis
