Job Description

This position is in the Global Services Engineering (GSE) organization, commercial repairs. GSE Commercial Repair develops innovative repair solutions to observed & predicted distress on components for all P&W Commercial engines in order to economically return the engine to service. This is a Leadership Project engineering role to enhance the Project Discipline in all four Major Design Teams, supporting PW4000, PW2000/F117, V2500, PW1100G-JM, and PW1500G.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with all Project Engineers to assist in the support of their teams.
  • Assist the Project Discipline Manager with Training, Developing Talent and establishing standard practices.
  • Work within Integrated Product Team (IPT) to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured (OEM) parts.
  • Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.
  • Develop and track project plans for creating technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for repairs. Ensuring repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget.

20% travel may be required for this position.


Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering
  • 6 to 15 years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Project function.
  • MBA or MS Desired.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS Desired.
  • Demonstrated project proficiency with excellent written and oral communication.
  • Assertive and results-oriented with good problem solving skills.
  • Exposure to cost and schedule management, CPMS, project engineering experience or team leadership.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as plating, plasma spray and welding is desirable.
