Group Product Manager, Video - Platform & API's at RingCentral in Belmont, CA

As the Group Product Manager, RingCentral Video Platform & API's, you’ll be responsible for product management of RingCentral Video platform, backend, and API's.

You will work closely with other PM's on the Video team to define video platform requirements and partner with engineering teams to plan for Video platform, backend, and media layer enhancements. You’ll also define and own the future evolution of RingCentral Video API's, platform as a service opportunities, and in-app integrations. You will work side-by-side with a dedicated engineering team, designers, user researchers, marketers, and sales reps to build and deliver products that people and companies love.

You’ll define technical requirements and experience for features and products. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Design other Product Managers on feature definition, development, and delivery. You’ll work with cross-functional teams on product go-to-market and awareness. You’ll define product success metrics and track the success of features and products.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of video conferencing and collaboration software products, strong technical background in backend and server-side technologies, video conferencing media stack, and API best practices. You are intensely curious about user and customer behavior. You understand that great products balance simplicity and robust features to solve real world problems. You also enjoy tapping the left side of the brain and quantifying your decisions by analyzing data and setting up proper measurement and reporting for each feature launched.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS or consumer software delivered via cloud
• Strong understanding of video conferencing and collaboration products and usability best practices
• Experience with backend platform and server side technologies, video conferencing media stack, and API best practices.
• Experience delivering API as a product
• Wicked smart and have a strong bias for action
• Highly empathetic with users, customers, and co-workers
• Positive, team-focused attitude toward software development
• Effective written and presentation skills
• Capable of taking complex issues and making them simple to understand
