Job Overview:

Exostar is seeking a multi-talented self-starter to lead product strategy and product management for its Multi-Enterprise Supply Chain Business Network for the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry. Exostar's multi-enterprise business network enables a community of over 135,000 organizations with over 575,000 users. The Group Product Manager, Director (GPM, Director) is the product owner for the Exostar platform and is responsible for defining requirements that enable integration of third party and community member applications. The Exostar platform provides Identity and Access Management (AIM) with multi-level security, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and is the System of Record (SOR) for community member data. He/she will be accountable for the successful performance of his/her product portfolio including product vision, product roadmap, product development, and delivery of solutions to customers which meet or exceed their expectations.

This position will also be responsible for the management and ongoing development of the Product Manager(s) within his/her group, and will act as the product subject matter expert within the Exostar organization. The GPM Director willplay a key leadership role to help the company grow and achieve its business objectives. She/he must be motivated, take initiative, be a team player, and be able to scale in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background with experience in Supply Chain Management, strong business acumen, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross functionally and with partners. Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry is highly desirable. He/she will be recognized as a product, technology, and business leader.

Your day, if you join us: Essential Job Functions

  • Developing the Exostar Aerospace and Defense community within the Aerospace and Defense and adjacent markets
  • Creating a product vision, technology strategy, and roadmap for the Exostar platform that will deliver increasingly greater value to community members
  • Managing appropriate customer user and advisory groups
  • Understanding and owning product strategy for Integration, Information, analytics, and Intelligence, developing technical, business, and functional requirements
  • Establishing product priorities on both operational and strategic levels; developing and managing plans for enhancements as well as new products and services to leverage related market opportunities
  • Analyzing new technologies and maintaining close working relationships with industry experts and leading technology providers
  • Developing product positioning strategies, value propositions, marketing content, and appropriate pricing strategies
  • Managing product owners/managers; providing leadership and direction to the team including recruiting, hiring, goal setting, resource allocation, utilization, performance management, professional development, coaching, inspiring, career pathing, succession planning and organization effectiveness
  • Working with customers and potential customers to gather feedback on how to improve and extend our offerings; understanding customer use cases and aligning with product marketing strategies
  • Researching competitive landscape, proactively gathering market information and competitive intelligence, and adjusting product roadmaps to address the relevant markets
  • Measuring product line success by customer acquisition, cost structure and profitability
  • Conducting sales training and supporting the development of sales enablement tools, including training materials, battle cards, and value messaging guides
  • Supporting demand generation activities as needed including customer meetings, demonstrations, RFP responses, and business case development
  • Ensuring Exostar's products and services are delivered to market resulting in the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing key vendor relationships as needed to ensure appropriate coordination of future releases of technology, go-to-market efforts, and on-going delivery to customers
  • Performing other duties as assigned

You meet our "must haves" for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of technical software Product Management experience, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of 2 or more Product or Technical professionals
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications such as SAP, SAP Ariba, E2open, Wax Digital, Jaggaer, Coupa, Oracle ERP, Transportation Management Systems, Supply and Demand Planning systems especially from an integration point of view is a plus
  • Ability to evaluate new product ideas and to independently create and present business cases
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and teamwork skills. Strong presentation skills, both creating and delivery
  • Ability to Travel up to 33%
