Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of Digital Merchandising for Vitacost.com. Set merchandising strategies to meet customer demand for the e-Commerce enterprise. Apply analytical and business expertise to take ownership of the business, drive growth and profitability for the enterprise. Interface with executives and build successful relationships with partners across functions (e.g., buying, marketing, operations, technical and finance teams). Successfully lead a team to drive sales and profitability, grow customer base, and improve conversion and influence plans and priorities across business organizations. Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the cross-functional team in development of strategies to meet or exceed financial goals for Vitacost.com
  • Ensure the enterprise product line plan and promotional strategies deliver against the enterprise vision and financial plans
  • Build profitable relationships with suppliers and execute negotiations to secure best pricing, sales programs, and promotional support Vitacost.com
  • Drive revenues, margins and profits for all products overseeing the e-Commerce Digital Merchandising group Vitacost.com collaboratively develop and convey the enterprise merchandising strategy to cross-functional teams across the company & generate support, alignment, and synchronicity
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative merchandising plans, themed events and promotions to reverse negative sales trends in categories
  • Ensure product lines are brought to market in a timely, relevant and profitable manner, are in accordance with the line plans and production calendars
  • Maintain industry expertise; keep tabs on trends and new product ideas
  • Drive improvements to the site experience through the development and execution of strategic cross-functional projects that will improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth for Vitacost
  • Direct accountability for balancing operational efficiencies and data analysis with high quality standards and a sense of what is “right” for the customer
  • Lead and grow a team of managers, associates and assistants and ensure the enhancement of a strong, collaborative culture that places a premium on continuous development of talent at all levels
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Travel 50% of the time between Boca Raton and General Office locations

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in merchandising, operations, or loyalty marketing with demonstrated understanding of product merchandising and customer communication channels
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and with agility to partner with multiple teams
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to bring resolution under challenging circumstances
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including formal presentation

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
