Coherent is seeking a high-level accounting professional with extensive experience in governmental accounting, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost accounting Standards (CAS), and project accounting. This role will be critical in working with the company's Defense Group to establish and execute on processes that ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations across multi-site contracts.

Duties include:

  • Leading the annual preparation of incurred Cost Submissions and Disclosure Statements
  • Support the Defense Group with pricing proposals, contract close-outs, business systems, and special projects
  • As the point of contact for Contract Review support, liaise with other support functions to ensure contract requirements are flowed down and understood
  • Investigate and help resolve compliance questions for internal / external customers
  • Act as liaison for any contract audits or other external data requests
  • Maintain and lead ongoing effectiveness of the company's regulatory compliance systems, reporting requirements, policies and controls
  • Develop and submit Forward Pricing rate agreements (FPRA)
  • Conduct periodic audits (e.g. Floor Labor reporting audits) of sites to ensure compliance with the company's disclosure statement and accounting requirements
  • Conduct training sessions with applicable employees on new regulations or requirements as needed

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or Finance
  • 5+ years of industry experience related to FAR/CAS, Forward pricing agreements, audit and Government contract compliance
  • Experience dealing with DCAA audits from ICS submission through final indirect rates with government agencies
  • Contract review experience desired
