What You'll Do

The Global Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a worldwide team of direct and indirect reports in support of one of Cisco’s Top Customers, Citigroup.

In leading these cross-functional resources, the Global Sales Manager will strategically drive Cisco's end-to-end vision for our customer, as well as maintain an in-depth understanding of daring conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements. This key leadership role will continue the development of our sales delivery model through the capability development of our highly talented and motivated sales organization. Setting a vision and building strategic business decision-making capability to the next level will be a major factor for success in this position.

A Global Cisco team passionate about support and overall customer success for Citigroup. The Global Sales Leader will also interface with and support Customer Executives and Customer Business Line Leaders to drive business outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

The key performance traits for this role include:

  1. Lead/coach teams through transformation with Account Planning/Opportunity Identification, Business Relevant / Customer Value Selling, Business Disciplines, Challenger Sales Strategy
  2. Identify, develop and implement key initiatives
  3. Exceed bookings and opex goals (by geography, architecture and vertical) while maintaining forecast accuracy
  4. Provide visibility and in depth knowledge into Relationship Financials (customer insights, macro/micro trends, consumption models)
  5. Attract, develop and retain high performance resources (career development, mentoring, performance management and hiring).

Desired Skills

This candidate will be expected to motivate, inspire, and continually develop his/her teams and channel partners while seeking new competitors as Cisco continues to gain market share outside its core networking business. This Global Sales Manager needs a strong background in executive-level communication with experience building customer and partner relationships, and territory planning and segmentation. This person must possess both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process. This role involves positioning and promoting the partner value proposition, leading account managers in the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/must be:

? BA degree, MBA Preferred

? 10+ years selling technology solutions

5+ years within management roles selling solutions to senior executives

? Consistent track record handling significant revenue responsibility and or profit/loss center and overachieving targets to meet stretch goals

? Must provide specific examples of closing large, strategic deals to global customers.

? Understanding of a broad range of Cisco and Competitive technologies.

? Business Development and strategy experience required.

? Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally.

? Adept at balancing intense short-term pressures with overall long-term goals.

? Strong executive presence, and political savvy ? Strong leadership skills in mentoring and developing a sales organization for 50+ people

? Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade -- using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.

? Demonstrated ability to build and lead in a matrix-managed team culture.

? Global travel will be required.
