This position is based in ­Clemmons, NC.

The Project Manager, Change Management will be tasked with continued and further process improvements, tool automations, and data analytics for a seamless implementation of Product Engineering IP into MES/ERP systems. Processes will seek to harmonize Engineer data generated from Teamcenter AWC PLM through the operations and supply chain implementation. This role is reporting into a Global CM Team, serving multiple mCAD, eCAD, and MES/ERP systems across a variety of functions. This role defines, deploys, and ensures CM Procedures are followed and coordinates the review and release of Engineering data to Operations and Supply Chain functions, through coordination of all necessary tools and applications. Previous experience gained through roles throughout a product’s lifecycle will be key to success, and candidates should be knowledgeable in PLM from ideation to decommissioning.

Reporting to the Global Manager, Configuration and Change Management for Hayward Pool Products, the Project Manager will be responsible for continuing to grow Configuration Management (CM) oversight, focusing on execution and enforcement of CM policies and procedures during a transformative time in the company. This role will work to identify and develop improvement opportunities, fulfill strategic business projects, and audit and identify non-compliance situations in a cross-functional team environment.

This role is responsible for supporting the Configuration and Change Management team through execution, deployment, and improvement of strategic business initiatives, affecting all phases of the product life cycle across all product lines, and aligned with the corporate digital strategy. Successful candidate will execute the business vision for engineering and manufacturing BOMs and their change management across all invested stakeholders.

Responsibilities


  • Evaluate new technologies or methodologies and develop knowledge in these areas to apply to company projects
  • Ownership of simplification and global standardization of CM processes through data driven decisions and requirement driven solutions.
  • Combine previous experience with forward looking processes that are clear, concise, valid, and accurate.
  • Create industry leading processes using latest available technologies to transform Hayward.
  • Provide supporting role in transitioning from localized MRP systems to a successful global eBOM/mBOM.
  • Develop and maintain playbooks for CM standards to be used in PLM, MRP and ERP migrations.
  • Actively collaborates with cross-functional teams to enforce, analyze, and support adoption of CM requirements.
  • Develop robust and auditable processes to implement approved design changes within PLM, MRP & ERP for multi- level BOMs.
  • Lead / Participate in meetings based on CM2 industry standards for CM with key stakeholders.
  • Lead / Participate in Engineering Changes for change implementation review, using knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and procurement activities.
  • Analyze, compile and present both quantitative and qualitative data and recommendations, including configuration management process, compliance audits, and change management metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in CM process(es) and lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Be a change enthusiast with a focus on organizational behavior and communication.
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Comfortable working autonomously to resolve complex challenges where no precedent exists.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments, operations, and supply chain processes.
  • Enterprise OCM experience, including driving organizational change related to major technology efforts.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to see multiple perspectives.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas patiently, in a transformative environment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences, establish and maintain relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Business process development and documentation experience.
  • Prior experience working with engineering and/or manufacturing business systems and applications.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including advanced excel.
  • Working knowledge of PLM, MRP, MES, and/or ERP systems.

Education and Experience:

B.S. or technical degree in an Engineering or Manufacturing related discipline and 5+ years of experience with Engineering

Change Control/Configuration Management. In the absence of a degree 7+ years of related experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

Remote work arrangement. Potential for Kaizen or team event support as needed. Willing and able to travel (domestic and international) (minimum 10% domestically).

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, employee is typically an office setting, with occasional work in manufacturing areas near moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes, dust, water and airborne particles.

The noise level is moderate to noisy in production areas. Safety glasses are required on the production floor.
