Essential Duties

  • Create product marketing strategies fulfilling business needs with innovative solutions
  • Lead and manage the development of sales support materials for all products
  • Manage entire product life-cycle (concept to launch)
  • Research for market-pricing strategy and forecasting
  • Lead product management activities that stimulate the development and introduction of new products providing strategic and competitive advantages
  • Develop market and sales presentations
  • Works independently on most assignments and confers with supervisor on a limited number of business matters. Has latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions
  • Provides general guidance or train support and/or professional staff


Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical field. Master’s degree desirable

Experience

  • 8+ years formal marketing or related experience of which 6+ years in fluid-handling, flow control or related industry

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Have a solid understanding of product life cycle, product planning, and product development and implementation within the organization
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of customer requirements, market trends, and distribution system
  • Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices
  • Act as a resource for colleagues and lead functional teams or projects
  • Solid market knowledge to perform multiple-level analysis and independently execute decisions 
  • Effectively negotiates to achieve optimal results.  In conflict management, seeks middle workable ground while helping others through sensitive issues
  • Thoroughly assesses and diagnoses problems by analyzing deeply (not just taking face value) and weighs alternatives to reach logical conclusions. Decision-making is balanced by need to gather information with need to make timely decisions. 
  • Prior successful experience with demonstrated global product life cycle results
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with a desire to work hands-on as required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% during peak season, 25 to 30% on average
