THE ROLE

Our Global Planning & Analysis (GPA) Team is chartered to support Global Sales with a timely, accurate and complete sales forecast, development of new product assumptions, forecasts and allocations and sales analysis to identify risks and opportunities. GPA is organized into three Regional Analyst teams and is supported by a Sales & Reporting team focused on providing the saleschannels and our own team with periodic salesreporting, dashboards and otherreports tosupport us in our work. The Americas Global Planning & Analysis team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our Direct Channels (Retail and eCommerce) and will be based in Framingham, MA. The ideal candidate will have experiencesupporting one or both channel types and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to deliver data driven insight and recommendations. He/she will play a key role in helping Bose achieve its Direct Channel strategy.  

The Business Analyst?s primary goal is to drive a timely, accurate and complete forecast to enable the Channel to achieve its sales targets while seeking to improve forecasting accuracy. The Business Analyst needs to leverage his/her analytical and forecasting skills, and partner closely with the Channel leadership, marketing and operations teams and Global Supply Chain, to make sure that all activities that impact sales are included in the forecast. This role supports the Channel with insightful sales analysis to help explain business results, identify risks and opportunities and measure key performance indicators. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The focus of this role is in the following key areas:

Forecasting: 

? Review and update core product forecast for Direct Channels

? Review prior month forecasting accuracy with business partners and explain deviations

? Create forecasts for new products and prepare detailed launch plans 

Analysis: 

? Conduct channel and product analysis to assess current performance against targets

? Develop pre- and post-promotional analysis to estimate the impact and report on the result of the promotion.

? Provide regular analysis to facilitate the business leaders in making informed decisions 

Channel Support: 

?Supportchannels with analyses to identify risks and opportunities.

? Monitor business performance against key performance indicators to determine effectiveness of business, strategic and operational plans.

? Effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders. 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 

The successful candidate will be an accomplished professional with 5-7 years of experience; supporting Direct Channel businesses preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, build close and strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and deliver analytical excellence to optimize business results. The Business Analyst must be able to work with multiple data and information sources, be well organized and adaptable to changes in business demand. H/she will need strong analytical skill set to work using various sources of information and be proficient in Microsoft Office and have expertise in advanced Excel. In addition, solid knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

?Sales & Operation Process / Supply Value Chain

?SAP knowledge preferred (SAP IBP Preferred)

? Forecasting expertise

EDUCATION 

A Bachelor?s degree in relevant studies is required; advanced degreepreferred
