Sensata Technologies is looking for a Global Mobility Manager. As a key member of a global HR team, this role will assist in the development and execution of Global Mobility strategies, initiatives and programs in support of business plans and overall corporate objectives. This position is located in Attleboro, MA


As the Global Mobility Manager, you will lead and manage small Global Mobility team that provides administration and overall management of the relocation, expatriation and immigration processes. The function partners closely with the HR Business partners, the Talent Acquisition team and the Business Leaders, to enable the global movement of talent for the corporation. In addition, Global Mobility supports also international business travel and mobility related tax implications.

In this role, you will be expected to conduct a overall assessment of all of our programs, services, and vendors. In addition, we see this role driving the centralization and unification of the mobility program across the world.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the mobility team in developing, maintaining, governing and delivering global mobility programs, processes and policies
  • Partner and monitor consulting and service delivery to ensure an integrated and seamless employee experience
  • Provide direction on complex issues, policy exceptions and service any critical situations
  • Define and maintain the strategic goals that support Sensata's objectives as it relates to Global Mobility, while also ensuring compliance with legal, tax and local employment
  • Integrate customer insight and internal partner feedback while actively addressing external market forces
  • Utilize best in class technologies to support all elements of the Global Mobility function
  • Creates and administers policies governing short- and long-term domestic and international assignments or re-locations
  • Works with legal counsel and external service providers to administer and ensure compliance with immigration requirements, including visas or work permits globally
  • Develops relocation packages and approves associated expenditures
  • Serves as a resource to employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance and Payroll for mobility (immigration / relocation / taxation) issues
  • Maintain a strong pulse on current market trends to ensure Sensata's program is ambitious, compliant, cost-effective and infuses standard methodologies into service offerings and technologies
  • Partner with Talent Management and Recruiting teams to understand and maintain a current forecast of global mobility needs

Desired Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of relevant global mobility experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required and advance degree will be preferred
  • Experience in the International HR arena including some of the following: policy, process and procedure review/development and re-engineering; expat compensation and benefits, immigration and vendor management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement company-wide programs and policies
  • Strong analytical skills
