Description

The Global Marketing Manager for Pharma will be responsible for developing strategic and tactical global marketing programs, aligned with the objectives of the business and regional sales and marketing, to drive global demand generation and increase win rate.  The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of the pharma market, including technologies, trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. The role will focus on leveraging that knowledge to build positioning, messaging, content and integrated outbound marketing campaigns to establish a strong footprint for SCIEX to support business growth.
Main Position Objectives
Develop global marketing strategy and plans aligned to business and segment marketing objectivesWrite value propositions, positioning, and messaging that will differentiate SCIEX Write subject matter for core marketing and sales collateral for both internal and external marketingEstablish and implement campaign channel strategy for outbound marketing based on business objectives, with strong focus on leveraging digital channelsWork cross-functionally to support the continuous development and implementation of global content and campaigns
Responsibilities
Develop and lead strategic global marketing programs centered around the SCIEX Biologics, strengthening SCIEX’s footprint, growing market visibility, and improving brand awareness.Drive creation of value propositions and competitive differentiated positioning for key SCIEX products and workflows based on deep understanding of customer pain points, needs, and buying criteria.Develop messaging and creative identity for SCIEX pharma, and ensure alignment with the corporate brand hierarchy, business initiatives and strategies.Devise integrated global marketing campaigns to fuel demand generation, build awareness and preference, increase win rate, and promote customer retention. Lead the development of marketing and sales collateral and content, both physical and digital, needed for sales support and outbound campaigns; drive adoption globally.Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for the launch of new products and solutions into market area, working closely with cross-functional teams in product management and regional sales and marketing.Establish and monitor relevant metrics and analytics to ensure marketing strategies, programs, and activities are executed effectively and delivering impact across marketing channels and regions.Continuously evolve and improve marketing programs to optimize performance and improve ROI; robustly manage marketing budget based on results and outcomes.Understand regional market dynamics and requirements and utilize to continuously improve global marketing strategy.Partner with SCIEX global marketing managers and global digital marketing team to fully leverage resources for growth.Implement standard work and communications to maintain global and regional marketing team alignment.Serve as a brand ambassador, working together with the cross-functional team to ensure marketing programs and materials align to and strengthen the global SCIEX brand.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in life sciences marketing, sales, and/or technical support roles with customer and account experienceMinimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological or Chemical Science; MS or PhD preferred; demonstrated training and/or experience in marketing, business administration, or related field a strong plusBroad understanding of mass spectrometry technology and market; technical competency in one or more specific mass spec application areas highly desiredClear thinker with the ability to translate market knowledge into impactful and differentiating value propositions, aligned to target customer personasStrong technical and creative writing skills, with the ability to turn complex concepts into clear and impactful positioning and messaging for sales and marketing content and campaign developmentStrong communicator with experience working in a global environment and highly-matrixed organization with cross-functional teams, both directly and remotelyDemonstrated ability in start-to-finish project management, from planning and conceptualization through to execution and metrics-based results analysisStrong time management and organizational skills, with ability to multitask and manage competing prioritiesHighly motivated and results-driven, with ability to work independently and through effective lateral influencing to achieved desired outcomesStrong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and a firm commitment to quality Executive presence with strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to perform exceptionally in fast-paced, performance-oriented environmentMust be available for a minimum of 25% domestic and international travel
