The Global Marketing Director, Hospitals and POC, develops and implement global marketing strategies for the hospital and POC segments in molecular diagnostics. Key activities for the position includes product portfolio strategy, strategic planning, product life cycle management, product launches, product branding, and supporting regional/local commercial organizations with key marketing and commercialization activities in hospital and reference laboratory segments

  • Drive product life cycle management and product portfolio planning

    • Identify unmet customer needs and Champion new ideas to drive growth in core business and in new segments or markets
    • Develop market and opportunity financial and ROI models
    • Drive the development of new product concepts in close corporation with scientific affairs, R&D, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Manage the product life cycle process in areas of responsibility
    • Develop commercial strategy and global marketing plans for key segments

    Strategic marketing activities:

    • Develop global product marketing and business segment plans
    • Drive elements of the strategic planning process for hospitals and POC
    • Develop pricing strategies and develop payer strategies
    • Drive product launches, and work very close with key regions in post-launch process
    • Develop and maintain relationships with KOL’s and key medical organizations
    • Monitor global and regional market trends and opportunities

    Other key deliverables:

    • Support regional and local marketing organizations with growth initiatives, product launches, training, and commercial excellence initiatives
    • Participate in international and regional key conferences and meetings
    • Initiate key scientific and health economic studies and projects



Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience in Marketing in the medical or diagnostic industries OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience in Marketing in the medical or diagnostic industries AND 4+ years managing people
    • Strong knowledge of molecular IVD products and markets
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task across broad number of products and disease states
    • Must possess a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks according to established deadlines
    • Ability to think strategically and influence stakeholders at all levels up to an including the President and Danaher executives.
    • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to forge a cohesive, results-oriented team essential

    Preferred Requirements:

    • An MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales
    • Global experience in the areas of sales, finance and marketing
