HH Staffing is working in partnership with an iconic American outdoor extreme sports clothing company headquartered in beautiful Southern California. This sportswear company designs, develops, and distributes its product and is sold worldwide.

This organization has revenues exceeding 200m last year thru a dedicated and committed workforce of over 1,000 employees. Profitability remains strong. The company has the financial backing of a large Private Equity Partner committed to growing this company going forward. This company sells both direct to the rider as well as thru distribution channel partners across Europe as well as North America. Its products are sold worldwide with distributors and partners in over 50 different countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Japan, New Zealand, Perú, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States and Mexico.

Position Overview:

This company is evolving forward to become a more agile, flexible and market moving organization capable of growing both its top and bottom line financials successfully year over year. This position reports to a newly hired CEO who has been brought into the company to evolve the organizational performance across all functional, financial and technical areas.

The chosen Global Leader of P&C will have an array of skills to be called upon to help the organization to evolve forward. The successful candidate will have global P&C experience, working in a small to medium size business and be willing to roll their sleeves up in order to do the necessary work that needs to be done.

The chosen Global Leader of P&C will combine character, integrity and trustworthiness of the highest order with an exceptional array of skills and abilities and the vision, initiative, passion and energy to make a decisive impact and ensure the continued success of the company. The Global Leader of P&C will guide various initiatives across the footprint of the organization, working with a collegial team of well-trained staff to orchestrate, implement, and monitor all phases of organizational and cultural evolution.

Job Specifications:

  • Track record of documented accomplishments in a small to medium size organization, preferably a global organization. Startup and/or Turn-a-Around experience helpful but not required. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and operational leader with a proven record of getting things done efficiently, effectively and within budgeted parameters.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership success in all areas of P&C to include hiring, recruiting, retention, workforce succession planning, training & professional development, compensation and benefits, payroll, and workplace culture improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated skill to plan, develop, coordinate, administer and streamline a comprehensive hiring program in today's ultra-competitive employment marketplace. Proven success in recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, placing, orienting, onboarding and evaluating employees.
  • Leadership presence and collaboration skills to work alongside the executive team and to interact effectively at all levels, and across all geographic boundaries, of the company.
  • A proactive and creative P&C Leader with proven change management skills. A leader who gathers and analyzes data to measure progress against strategic initiatives and timelines; thinks and acts relative to best practices, even "next practices", to align organizational direction and focus.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills designing organizational and management development tools to enable business strategy to be achieved.
  • Develops strategic relationships to identify needs and critical success factors and to strengthen the overall delivery of P&C's effectiveness across the organization. Ability to build commitment and drive for results, establishing a culture of excellence.
  • Professional Development expertise in deploying career development programs, performance appraisal mechanisms, and development opportunities for all levels of employees.
  • Possesses working knowledge of criteria, policies, and processes to define, develop and implement a "best place to work" culture and environment.
  • Proven skill in the development, and subsequent implementation, of retention methodologies (benefits, compensation, reward and recognition programs, employee engagement) to ensure competitiveness and equity in all motivational programs.
  • Direct experience and thorough knowledge of effective Compensation and Benefits Administration programs.
  • Record of demonstrating, understanding and utilizing HR systems and information technology to achieve organizational objectives and administrative support.
  • Demonstrated superiority in methods of cost containment. Expertise to develop, format, and manage budgets.
  • Visible, accessible and relational leader who builds culture and develops people.
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, organizational behavior, or similar area of focus; advanced degree a plus, 10 to 15 years of demonstrated career experience in the Consumer Products Industry is preferred.
  • Moderate travel, less than 25%.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. A competitive base salary, annual bonus and Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) Award will be provided to the successful candidate.
