Global HRIS Director – Chicago or Virtual

We are currently seeking a Global HRIS Director to join our dynamic HR team. As the Global HRIS Director you will be responsible for the oversight and management of HR technology systems and data activities globally. You will act as the lead HRIS contact with IT and HRBS teams, and will work closely with these teams to ensure the optimum level of HR systems support is provided to HR and the business.


  • Define and implement a HRIS strategy that is aligned to that overall global HR strategy
  • Advise and provide oversight over global HRIS budget and spend
  • Act as the executive contact for all HR systems vendors
  • Ongoing development of the enterprise HR Systems roadmap in the context of HR Leadership priorities and broader JLL business goals
  • Participate in strategic HR Systems optimization activities, including assessment of available features & functionality associated with releases, etc.
  • Subject matter expert for global HR systems and data
  • Serve as global system consultant to HR stakeholders, identify and articulate cross-region and global process impacts on technology/data and potential constraints
  • Manage senior relationships with HRBS and IT
  • Partner with Finance and our Global Data & Information Management team (GDIM) on creation and implementation of the global Data Management and Data Governance framework
  • Define and implement HR System and Data governance
  • Manage a team ofHRIS professionals that:
    • Is the initial point of contact for functionality/configuration questions
    • Performs minor configuration updates
    • Supports AMS Release Management activities as needed, including platform optimization / new functionality adoption analysis, etc.
    • Liaises with SaaS Vendor Support re: requests for new functionality
    • Understands data governance and ensure adherence to data quality standards
    • Executes data validation, audit, & clean-up activities
    • Serve as HR data SMEs
    • Strategically manages vendor relationships
    • Participates in contract negotiation
    • Handles invoicing and cost distribution
    • Handles AMS partner relationship management
    • Security configuration
    • Aligns security setup consistently across our HR applications & reporting
    • Manages Data Security Audit activities as necessary
    • Integrations regression testing
    • Manages testing for ad hoc configuration / data changes
    • Supports AMS testing activities as needed

  • Ability to manage a team to translate business requirements into system design and data/reporting requirements
  • Ability to travel globally

Essential qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related discipline
  • 10+ year of HRexperience
  • Minimum of 5 years HR cloud based system expertise with experience building roadmaps that align to global HR priorities
  • Prince2 certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Proven track record of managing a global team across HR technology work stream areas
  • Fluency in English; other languages desirable
  • Experience leading and working with virtual, international and cross cultural teams
  • Experience in real estate, preferred
