The Senior Director, Social Media will bring an entrepreneurial attitude to the role as a natural leader, networker and self-starter, and a high level of experience and comfort with managing and navigating different personalities and team dynamics. The role demands creativity, energy, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate must have excellent writing, communication, presentation and relationship management skills; sound judgment; and, a passion for the ever-evolving world of social media and digital marketing.

This role also requires setting expectations for key priorities and narratives for a decentralized social media team; managing contractors; strategizing with other marketing and social media leads; managing key partner relationships; and, ensuring an ongoing and on-brand content calendar. You will balance the demands and interests of multiple projects across Nasdaq, influencers, crisis communications, and maintain key relationships internally. The right candidate has a foundation as a storyteller, explores the latest social media trends, and is comfortable teaching and presenting to the team.

• Designing and overseeing implementation of a social media strategy across Nasdaq's corporate channels, ensuring it aligns with our vision, voice, brand, and maximizes engagement

• Developing the creation of platform-specific best practices for copy, voice, and design

• Negotiating processes and contracts with departments, vendors and freelancers, ensuring a constant supply of relevant content to maintain a premier content calendar around the world

• Analyzing social media insights using social listening tools, analytics platforms, and SEO to guide campaigns

• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand how their goals are best represented and amplified by our social channels, and maintain brand consistency

• Maintaining ongoing relationships with global teams through regular check-ins, meetings and workshops

• 10-plus years of social media and/or digital marketing experience managing multiple products, ideally within a multifaceted, corporate environment

• Relationship driven -- skilled at building and nurturing relationships, and balancing many priorities -- always doing so with a good attitude

• A passion for social media both professionally and personally and the ability to look at and adapt quickly to new technology

• Excellent copywriting and presentation skills required

• Confidence with processing analytics and implementing SEO

• Proactive, driven, detail-oriented, and creative individual with strong organizational skills

• Sound news judgment and an instinct about what's on brand

• Willing and able to travel as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or Economics; master's degree a plus but not required
