This position reports to the Chief Marketing Office and will be based in Atlanta, GA and is responsible for leading, managing and directing all design related activities for the global business unit. As Head of Design, you will set the direction for design globally, and contribute directly to creating the next generation of design on a wide variety of solutions, ensuring delivery of end-to-end experience across every user and customer touch point for the businesses.

You will be the voice of Design and User Experience in strategic and operating planning meetings, as well as serve as the functional decision maker for all the design disciplinesthroughout project lifecycles from inception through ship and beyond. You will lead the development of the Business? User Experience strategy and will ensure that it is aligned with company guidelines and roadmaps. Expect to work with other functional leaders, e.g., CTO, in an interdisciplinary collaboration to create the framework and best practices of a world-class, outcome driven focused design organization. Position requires the ability to travel 20-40%.
As functional manager of a sizable group located worldwide, you?ll need significant experience managing people and team remotely. As we are an independent function with the business, that means you?ll needs experience with budgets, forecasts/actuals, resource forecasting and annual operations planning type processes.

? Significant aftermarket / post sale, services, or customer support / service experience

? Demonstrated experience scoping, planning and executing projects in accordance with an iterative development process
? Experience in understanding and synthesizing user needs using a variety of practices
? Experience in design strategy, trends and how they apply to brand and product planning
? Experience in evaluating products using: design trends, heuristic reviews, competitive benchmarking, formative and summative usability studies
? An MBA (with marketing focus preferable) is considered ideal
? Strong business aptitude and interest; understanding and application of basic marketing frameworks
? Experience with the implementation of new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to profitable growth
? Proven track record of successful implementation (on time and on budget) of technology or marketing programs preferred
? Strong problem-solving skills to structure and conduct analysis and to drive robust decisions
