Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to provide litigation support, monitorships, damage calculations, and investigative services for attorneys, in house counsel, trustees, and other stakeholders
  • Reviews/analyzes historical financial and industry information, revenue/expense projections and damage evaluations
  • Prepares/compiles reports for clients, regulators and other parties for use in court, disciplinary or other legal forums
  • Apply insights and knowledge of fraud and investigation issues and processes to enable clients to solve complex, sensitive matters
  • Conduct complex investigations, identify internal control weaknesses, and make recommendations to strengthen policies, processes, and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional client service in all client interactions and projects
  • Communicate effectively, both internally and to clients, including those at an executive level
  • Prepares work plans, document requests, time budgets, interrogatories and discovery data
  • Manage day-to-day project activities; establish appropriate leverage on project teams and assign/manage project responsibilities to team members
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance counseling to consultants, clients and project team members. Including report review by other team members
  • Balance client, new business development and practice development activities, including active participation in internal projects and operations along with complying with firm standards
  • Contribute to the general management of the Consulting Practice and develop and implement a personal plan which sets goals for professional and practice development
  • Organizes the appropriate resources to ensure timely delivery of a high quality Baker Tilly work product within budget or obtains additional increases as needed
  • Comprehensive understanding of the work at hand to effectively and efficiently provide detailed explanations to the supervising Partner and client, including recommending solutions to any issues that need to be addressed
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills - effectively and professionally discusses issues and areas in dispute with the opposing party (ies)


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field
  • Ability to apply accounting, auditing, and/or valuation theory and procedures to analyze financial information
  • Ability to prepare summaries of information
  • Must understand Global Forensics insurance, corporate, business valuation and/or litigation support practice areas
  • CPA, CFE or other certifications highly desired or advancement towards certification(s)
  • A minimum of six years public accounting or forensic consulting experience required. Will look at candidates with a combination of industry/professional service blend.
  • In-Depth fraud and forensics investigations experience, with extensive knowledge of Insurance industry specifically
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and solid Microsoft Suite skills required
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings
  • Relevant skills in project execution with hands on experience in the full life-cycle of a project
  • Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills
  • Flexibility to travel to client site as needed and ability to work beyond core business hours
