DUTIES: Responsible for implementing cross department global Dynamics NAV ERP projects of varying size, scope, and background ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements. Provide technical expertise for complex problems by leveraging administrational, operational, and integration skills of Dynamics NAV. Ensure the success of NAV implementations on multiple NAV versions by managing resources, costs, and schedule while also managing the scope. Design Enterprise architecture for NAV systems. Create and maintain global programming standards. Manage a team of developers to ensure quality of deliverable. Manage a team of consultants to ensure quality of deliverables. Proactively follow up on action items, issues, and risks throughout project. Implement NAV Enterprise architecture design changes. Evaluate and adopt NAV add-ons. Create a framework for multiple version of NAV to ensure quality of programming. Estimate the efforts and time needed for executing the project. Create project budgets, schedules, and requirements for NAV implementations. Conduct GAP analysis with end users. Create Design Documents with definitive scope of the project. Design changes to NAV applications for the requirements raised by the end users. Advise system administrators in relation to optimum hardware configurations. Mentor team members to enhance technical skills for better performance of systems. Purchase NAV licenses.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, and ten (10) years of experience in a related position. Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Twelve (12) years of experience in a related position. Work experience must have included: MS Dynamics NAV and add-on modules and integrations; Dynamics NAV functionality and product architecture, including Dynamics NAV Adjust Cost Item Entries, Item Applications, Company Consolidations, Multi Currency Transactions, Interactive Planning Worksheet, FIFO Costing, Application Server Management, Job Automation, Web Services, SQL Server Management, Deployment and Localizations; and implementation of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) solutions. Must be willing to travel 10-15% of time.
