WHAT YOU’LL DO
You help us build out the organization of the future by identifying and implementing new capabilities for the rapidly evolving digital organization within Citi’s controlled execution framework. Citi’s customers can be 100% confident we are executing and delivering our software in a well-controlled and fully auditable manner because your team maintains the operational integrity of all digital engineering work we ship! Your team ensures management of projects meets regulatory requirements, controls project financials, including updating spend-to-date, collecting new estimates, generating forecasts, and works closely with the Digital leadership to ensure the appropriate allocation of engineering resources to each project, resolving competing project needs and identifying program interdependencies. Because you are deep in the details, you’ve got insights into all project execution and cost data enabling you to assess strengths and shortcomings of our project management processes, eliminate manual processes, and make recommendations for improvement from the bottom up, to even make cost effective sourcing and software acquisition recommendations. You design, produce and distribute reporting on pro-forma forecasts and billing, capture any execution risks and participate in any root cause analysis of identified issues. Continual improvement should come naturally, and you should leverage automation whenever possible. Anything you can do to stream-line project procedures, processes and overall infrastructure within your team with improved quality, efficiency, risk, is welcomed. You should be adaptable, fail fast, learn rapidly, be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, embrace change and have a desire to continually create, iterate and improve your team’s execution model. You need to work smart! You have a keen eye for simplifying complex processes and applying automation to drive efficiencies. You analyze data quickly and synthesize through any gaps to provide sound, thorough solutions You will need to motivate your team to excel and push the organization forward.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Forecasts and tracks financials for the portfolio of projects and functions
• Designs appropriate management reports/scorecards that articulate financial and operational results and highlight inefficiencies
• Develops and drives improvements to optimizing standardized operational execution processes
• Manages critical program dependencies
• Eliminates manual processes and leverages automation where applicable
• Drives progressive operational and financial Monitoring & Reporting
• Executes sound and consistent Risk & issue Management
• Contains and resolves issues within the programs that do not require management attention
• Motivates and focuses team to reach challenging goals
• Assures that all projects are assessed for proper funding, matched to a funding source, linked to applicable Investment expenditure proposals, tracked from start to finish and properly reported out in a timely manner
• Adheres to defined corporate operational metric standards relative to life cycle adherence and timely resolution of project quality assurance gap items
• Executes our financial work flows in a well-controlled and organized manner
• Optimizes technology financialinvestments to maximize use of all digital resources, delivering the maximum benefits and communicating any diversion from expected financial thresholds

Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
• Demonstrated experience defining and measuring team success via data-driven metrics & reporting
• Experience delivering an agile life cycle execution methodology a must
• Demonstrated success driving sound, consistent financial tracking and reporting processes
• 10+ years in program/project management with particular focus on operational work flows
• Demonstrated experience with Agile tools like RTC/JIRA
• Demonstrated experience with IT financial management and financial solutions
• Strong understanding of Excel, specifically with usage of data integration, pivot tables and macros
• Strong leadership and management skills to create and drive strategic vision - mentoring, coaching, continuous feedback and support
• Organizational and coordination skills to get things done with a knack to automate
• Demonstrated experience defining and measuring team success via data-driven metrics & reporting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to decipher data and back up assumptions, observations and causes
• Track record removing blockers and always find sound solutions in challenging situations
• Handles multiple contending priorities simultaneously in an exciting environment
• Proven solid written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate operational and financial status, risks, and issues to executive management and business stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills.
