You will act as a key member of the Professional Services leadership team, ensuring maximum positive impact through successful support of our international clients. In this cross-cutting role, you will report to the division director and oversee our services business with clients outside the US. This role involves global leadership with significant connections with our global managers, multi-national distributor network, corporate sales international leadership, and department heads within Professional Services.


  • Sustain and grow our global services business including strategy development and project execution
  • Balance long-term strategic direction with short-term, high-profile opportunities that need immediate focus
  • Serve as an ambassador from Esri Professional Services to senior executive clients, including executive hosting of visitors and site visits with key clients
  • Line management support of staff among our global offices
  • Business development including capture strategy and review and sign-off of proposals
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for client/delivery issues; follow through on international engagements to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Work closely with regional general managers and business development international leadership on account strategies, distributor engagement, and overall global business
  • Engage in strategic activities in Professional Services as part of the leadership team


  • 10+ years of proven experience in leading consulting and project delivery of information systems
  • Proven experience in managing international business portfolios, directing billable consulting work among multiple global locations
  • Superior client interface skills including the ability to interact with executives from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to understand a challenge from multiple perspectives, drive to the bottom of a problem, and lead a team to successful outcomes
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to think strategically and relate well to customers’ senior management
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting thecareer development of staff by coordinating project assignments to meet client needs and allow professional development
  • Experience developing productive relationships among multi-national groups, including customers, colleagues, and staff
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, information technology, or related field

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience in the GIS business ecosystem
  • Experience managing or delivering Esri technology-based solutions
  • Experience with RDBMS functionality, such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and SAP Hana
