The primary responsibility for the Global Cyber Threat Incident Manager is to manage a superior customer experience through tactical troubleshooting, monitoring, and proactive incident resolution for Diebold Nixdorf’s customer environments. The Global Cyber Threat Incident Manager will be heavily relied upon to manage support, maintain and provide insight to our customers when they are in a high level of need. It is vitally important the individual is a strong communicator, resourceful, and articulate in communicating identified issues and resolution steps to bring the customer’s incident to a resolved state.  A strong combination of technical administration, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills is vital to the position’s success! 
This is a Global role and will manage resources across the globe.  This position will report directly to the Director of Product and Solutions Security and will interface with Customers, IT, Security, and all lines of product and solutions portfolio. 
The person in this critical role will:

  • Excellent technical and communication skills and managing highly skilled and motivated security professionals.  
  • Facilitates the creation, interpretation, and reviews Information Security Standards that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Keeps abreast of new or evolving threats against the company’s product and solution portfolio.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of Diebold Nixdorf’s products and solutions to supportincident management within customer environments, including chain of custody and first responder activities.
  • Consults and advises business partners and customers on security requirements.
  • Manages securityrisk assessment to identify gaps in controls and identify remediation requirements.
  • React on customer product & solutions security related incidents on a 24/7 base
  • Management of Security & Fraud topics, product and solution security enhancements, security awareness and information with customers on an Executive Level
  • Manage development, definition, roll-out and execution of Security Audits/Awareness programs, security enhancements with focus on Diebold Nixdorf portfolio
  • Lead security related customer meetings on executive level 
  • Support in the security review of the different Diebold Nixdorf products by providing security related background and information from the field
  • Reaction on, documentation of and follow-up on security incidents on a 24/7 base
  • Manage analysis and monitoring of fraud/securitymarket trends - intelligence and competitor knowledge 
  • Support in the presentation and representation of Diebold Nixdorf and speeches at Diebold Nixdorf and industry relevant conferences, trade shows, fairs and workshops
  • Support in the creation of Diebold Nixdorf internal, customer spanning security community
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of company-wide security information policies, controls, standards, and processes. 
  • Urgent or emergency security matters will require after hour, weekend or holiday response, and travel.
  • Travel for investigations is required.  Ability to acquire or possession of a valid passport required.


Some essential functions of this role include:
1.Incident Management

  • Manage reaction on, documentation of and follow-up on security incidents

2.Security Enhancement

  • Support of management of Security & Fraud topics, product and solution security enhancements, security awareness and information 
  • Manage development, definition, roll-out and execution of customer specific security enhancements and policies e.g. Security Audits/Awareness programs, security enhancements with focus on Diebold Nixdorf portfolio
  • Support in the identification and positioning of security enhancements in product development
  • Support in the security review of the different Diebold Nixdorf products by providing security related background and information
  • Participate in relevant project meetings in security topics


3.Market Analysis

  • Manage analysis and monitoring of fraud/securitymarket trends - intelligence and competitor knowledge 
  • Support in presentation and representation of Diebold Nixdorf and speeches at Diebold Nixdorf and industry relevant conferences, trade shows, fairs and workshops


4.Reporting & Awareness

  • Support in the creation of Diebold Nixdorf internal, customer spanning security community
  • Participate in security related customer meetings on project level if applicable 

Experience and Education:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Economics, Natural Sciences or equivalent
  • Knowledge in Diebold Nixdorf product portfolio
  • Experience in banking/retail projects
  • Awareness on Fraud management related processes and procedures
  • Awareness on consulting principles including process analysis with fraud/security background
  • First experience in sales support activities (presentations, customer visits, proposal development)

Knowledge and key skills:

  • Ability to attend customer incidents on a 24/7 base
  • Ability to manage customer incidents on C-level
  • Deep Product portfolio knowledge
  • Proven Project Management and Project Controlling skills
  • Fraud Management knowhow
  • Security Standards Knowhow: PCI, EMV, ISO 27001
  • Consulting and Software Engineering skills
  • Good English (written and spoken)
