General Duties:

  • Conducts independent risk analyses and assessments of bank’s credit products and processes
  • May act as lead credit review examiner in evaluating the effectiveness of credit processes and guidelines, identifying gaps and recommending improvements and changes as appropriate
  • Identifies material credit concerns
  • Acts as subject matter expert/contact point for assigned business areas
  • Consults with various stakeholders - including business management, Credit Risk, Legal and Finance – to ensure a comprehensive evaluation
  • Works closely with counterparts in Enterprise Risk Management on related risk management issues
  • Creates and produces reporting using bank systems to help understand and analyze portfolio credit risk

Experience/Abilities:

Global Credit Review’s mandate is wide ranging and comprehensive, so the candidate must be highly motivated, proactive and flexible.  The ideal candidate would also possess the following:

  • 5+years of experience in a financial services organization
  • 2+ years of credit and/or capital markets risk management experience 
  • Experience with foreign exchange, securities finance, trading limits, ISDA/CSA terms and/or collateral management is an advantage (but not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex credit relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills, as well as proficiency with financial modeling, portfolio analytics and data analysis
  • Ability to develop business relationships with senior management and others throughout the organization
  • Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Business, Finance, or related field 
  • MBA, MSF or CFA preferred
