Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Your deliverables as a Business Resiliency Lead will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Analyze information and develop detailed requirements for tools and solutions needed to support Business Continuity Planning and Analysis.
  • Monitor and manage BCM and general Resilience statistics and reporting.
  • Manage and monitor spend within given budget and optimize cost efficiencies.
  • Make recommendations for cost efficiencies for risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Make recommendations through cost benefit analysis for recovery strategies and solutions
  • Work in partnership with various departments, such as Technology Services and Operational units to develop and maintain currency of Business Continuity Plans and Maintenance Programs, ensuring synchronization with Disaster Recovery.
  • Event/crisis management including gathering required information at time of event, facilitating crisis or major incidents globally, activating call trees to engage appropriate individuals as required, tracking/monitoring/reporting on situation including minutes for conference bridges.
  • May require 24/7 emergency support when required.
  • Establish self as Business Resilience expert and 'enabler' to facilitate program development and engage with Employees, Vendors and Customers.
  • Provide expert advice on the implications of changes or proposed changes of the Plans in place, coordinating changes as necessary. Provide training to all local managers and senior leaders for Business Continuity Planning.
  • Provide BCP expertise on RFP proposals and during contract negotiations.
  • Provide expertise on BCP program for third party vendors.
  • Train staff and senior leaders in all sites.
  • Lead and manage major incidents or crisis events for the organization globally.
  • Oversee BCP compliance with contractual agreements (Customer and Vendor). Keep abreast of best practices in the Crisis Management and Business Continuity and Resilience fields, including Pandemic planning. Mitigation and recovery strategy development.
  • Coordination of regular testing of Business Continuity Plans.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Risk Management Team to identify and mitigate risks, as part of a broader Global Risk Management program.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Business Continuity/Crisis Management/Resiliency Program Management
  • Experience working in the financial and/or technology industry
  • Experience with US regulatory bodies and requirements in the financial industry
  • Extensive experience in coordinating projects or programs, providing consultation and working with teams on multiple and complex projects under tight timelines.
  • Experience in conducting business impact analysis, threat risk assessments, creating and maintaining continuity of operations plans, facilitating exercising and testing
  • Emergency/crisis management/pandemic planning program development experience
  • Incident and Crisis Management facilitation and lead experience
  • Experience in building and implementing Business Continuity Management and Emergency Notification Tools
  • Experience developing and executing Resilience training and awareness programs
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant designations (ABCP, CBCP, MBCP etc.)
  • Strong continuous improvement and project management skillset
  • Ability to work and facilitate meetings with Executive and Senior Leaders
  • Relationship building expertise with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers and external alliances
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and standards, including the knowledge to implement ISO 22301 globally
  • Ability to facilitate Executive Leadership and crisis meetings and drive organized, successful resolutions
