Job DescriptionThe Global Partner & Alliances team is growing and evolving, as one of the key elements of Sage’s strategy to benefit from centralization. Currently Sage has multiple relationships with a number of partners that are not driven globally in a coordinated and strategic manner. There is tremendous opportunity to deepen and focus Sage’s key partnerships. Initially the focus will be on a small number of key strategic partners but in the future, the key strategic relationships may broaden to include other go-to-market partners.

Sage Leadership has embarked upon a comprehensive transformation program to establish an operating model which leverages the value of Sage globally. The role of Global Alliances Director will have responsibility for developing and executing aggressive sell-to and sell-through strategies within Europe or North America, as well as comprehensive sales and product plans to further grow Sage’s key partner relationships within the region. Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities

• Build and expand relationships with key partners in Europe/North America
• Implementing a business plan which strategically aligns Sage and alliance partners with scalable ‘win-win’ opportunities that will drive revenues with accountability through sell to/sell through/sell with activities with key partners
• Formulate and manage incentive partner budgets and KPIs within the region; assuring the highest efficiency in partner marketing
• Collaborate and communicate with cross functional stakeholders (internal and external), extended team members and external customer/partner audiences on the status and key milestones with alliances
• Create and execute high quality marketing collateral, sales decks, social media, press releases, analyst briefings and webinar content aligned to priority solutions with measurable ROI against KPIs
• Achieve partner satisfaction via best in class programs that strengthen Sage as a preferred partner. Programs will be developed in conjunction with specialist program managers.

Person Specification

• Significant experience in Partner Sales & Alliance Management at this level in a software company
• A compelling background building sell-to / sell-through / sell-with relationships, ideally with global partners
• The ability to drive change in organizations and rally others (internally and externally) behind an agenda in complex non-direct organizational structures where he/she influences, not directly controls, resources
• A passion for small-to-medium sized businesses
• The ability to create organizational buzz and enable businesses to ‘punch above their weight’
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, and a natural penchant for storytelling
• Demonstrated leadership skills, both in building teams and influencing company direction
• A pragmatic, get things done approach combined with strategic attitude
• Comfortable and skilled at dealing with senior level leaders within large and complex software companies
• Language skills would be an advantage

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in business studies
• 10+ years of complex, strategic, partner management
• 5+ years of enterprise or SMB large territory sales
• Proven track record of achieving multimillion dollar revenue KPIs
• Exceptional negotiation skills are a must
• Experience in cloud solutions is a plus
• Excellent planning, organization and leadership skills
• Expert relationship builder
• Track record of success working in a matrix environment
