GIS Program Manager - Global Product Organization

 

Function Overview:

We are currently seeking a Global Information Systems (GIS) PLM Program Manager to join us at our global headquarters in the beautiful lakeside community of St. Joseph/ Benton Harbor, MI - home to some of top schools in the state and nestled alongside picturesque Lake Michigan.

 

As GIS Program Manager,  your role is to act independently, under general direction, to manage all the business relationship  activities with our business partners to help deliver projects/ support against our strategy and roadmaps. This highly visible and influential role is accountable for setting the strategy and leading overall execution of the following areas on behalf of our Global Product Organization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to deliver global IT projects, leading Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities within GPO

  • Interact with process and solution architects, developers, data migration specialists and business partners to understand business process and requirements across GPO functional teams for prioritized enterprise projects

  • Work closely with middle/ upper management to make sure that the scope and priorities are driven per our roadmap as well as other functions for support and alignment

  • Apply the right level of business relationship management skills needed to drive priorities and business value creation as part of the transformational projects and initiatives

  • Under the general direction of either a Director or a Sr. Manager, leads and directs high-priority capability discussions with business partners to drive decisions

  • Partner with global Technology teams and Platform teams to help deliver GPO capabilities strategy aligned with Whirlpool Enterprise PLM strategy

  • Be a trusted partner and subject matter expert for IS capabilities needed in GPO

  • Evaluate short and long-term technology solutions and service providers for capabilities and support needed

  • Facilitating and leading process mapping, data collection, process learning and continuous improvements

  • Driving alignments and agreements between various functions such as Engineering, Marketing etc to implement and support Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) processes and tools

  • Leading problem solving teams and driving activities that enhances business outcomes

  • Create and maintain detailed business requirements, priorities, capabilities and IT systems roadmap

  • Some domestic and international travel will be required

  • Ability to manage conflict, uncertainty and changing priorities

Financial Acumen/ Analysis

  • Has experience in analyzing, influencing and developing project estimates, business cases and financial analysis

  • Has a proven track record in understanding P&L and general business financials

  • Capable of coordinating the creation of a business case

Leading Change

  • Has driven organizational change management through process improvement initiatives

  • Influential leader that partners well with all areas of the business

  • Takes ownership of tasks at hand and think strategically foreseeing future business needs

Coaching people

  • Has ability to coach and educate team members and business partners on project management methodologies and concepts required to flawlessly deliver complex projects and initiatives

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering  or related fields

  • 10+ years of business analysis and project/ program management experience

  • Experience with managing complex Global business process transformation

  • Strong problem solving skills, communicate in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/ data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with a global team including employees, contractors and customers

  • Ability to synthesize large chunks of information and provide insights to get work done in a timely manner

  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with strategic partners and all levels of the organization

  • Actively generates process improvements and posses Organizational Change Management expertise supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways

  • Demonstrated customer focus, evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or MBA preferred

  • Collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

  • Business Relationship Management mindset (customer oriented)

  • Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner is a plus

  • Product development background with major PLM solutions such as Windchill, Teamcenter or Enovia is a plus
