Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. Capital Area Division is seeking a scientist/engineer with subject matter expertise in developing geomechanical constitutive material models for modeling and simulation purposes. We are looking for candidates with a degree in Engineering, Geotechnical, or Physics with a modeling & simulation background and experience. A strong foundation in FORTRAN is a plus. This position will place you in a team of highly skilled professionals developing modeling and simulation codes that simulate shock and seismic wave mechanics. You will also develop computational constitutive models describing key mechanical behavior, update modeling / simulation codes, and implement new models.
