General Manager – Gig Harbor, WA

Direct Hire

The General Manage reports directly to the President. They will be responsible for managing the overall production, procurement, facility, and shipping activities to ensure efficient and on-time delivery. They will oversee all day-to-day operations for a national 10-million-dollar company in Gig Harbor, WA. The ideal candidate would have a business mindset, strong analytical skills, good with numbers and figures, and streamlining processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure inventory levels meet production needs and order requests
  • Oversee production to ensure all Labor & Materials meet estimating standards
  • Generate reports to ensure all orders are complete and delivery expectations are met
  • Ensure Facilities, Equipment, and Procedures are organized, and safety measures are met
  • Ensure all products meet corporate quality standards, customer dimension expectations, and are complete beforedeadlines
  • Communicate new orders and define expectations for production and shipping
  • Monitor materials and buyouts levels, order supplies as need, and ensure stock is available
  • Oversee shop schedule and staffing plans to ensure labor utilization and timely delivery of orders
  • Motivate staff to meet production requirements and ensure proper training
  • Monitor Facilities and Equipment maintenance for proper and safe use in production
  • Conduct shipping reports to ensure timely delivery dates and effective costs
  • Respond to Customer inquiries, providing information, as requested or needed.
  • Research and implementation ERP system
  • Project management and purchasing
  • Timely reports and updates to President.

Required Background:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations
  • Experience with ERP system
  • 5 years of similar work experience
  • Experience with PNL
  • Familiarity with shipping, inventory, and invoicing
  • Experience with a National Company is a plus
  • MBA in business management or similar field is a plus

Salary

$100K
