The GM, Special Projects role is a unique, ground floor opportunity to lead the development of a new business segment within the UberEATS portfolio. You’ll be responsible for team building, strategy, process development, and ongoing management. We're looking for someone with the ideal mix of operational aptitude, the grit that's needed to persevere through uncertainty, the creative thinking needed to drive outside the box solutions, and the leadership abilities to manage a team in a fast changing environment. You can be based out of either San Francisco or New York.

What You’ll Do

  • Build out and directly lead a  team focused on a new business segment within the US & Canada UberEATS portfolio
  • Oversee operations, sales, marketing, and data analytics activities for this business segment
  • Help develop the develop the business strategy for this business segment
  • Build a high performance team; motivate them to continually achieve higher levels of business impact

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 8years of deep, hands-on management of functions that include combinations of the following: operations, analytics, marketing, customer loyalty and retention, and project management. We will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • Sound business judgement and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to quickly establish highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis, deep actionable insights, modeling, and advanced test plan design and analysis
  • Positive energy and motivational leadership driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Significant experience managing teams
