General Position Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for all business management functions for Region Americas Electrics Factory and Engineered Modernizations. Management specific duties include, but not limited to; market growth strategies, budget preparation, sales funnel growth concepts, negotiation tactics, application, production and project engineering efficiencies, project risk management and financialresponsibilities of the business line.

 

 The primary customer base will be major engineering companies, and process industries (SMA’s) that use heavy duty or high capacity crane equipment such as Steel mills, Steel distribution, Aluminum mills, Foundry’s, Waste to Energy/Biomass, Paper mills, Automotive plants, Power generation. General manufacturing, Mining, Petrochemicals, etc.      

 

Business line supports the Region Americas service offices for all presales and post sales activities, including assisting in generating detailed proposals that reflect an understanding of the customer’s core processes and offering solutions to improve safety, productivity and return on investment, marketing support activities to educate both the internal and external customers of the group’s capabilities. Develop technical pre-packagedbudget packages  solutions by working with our sales engineers, application estimating team, production engineering and frontline district teams to improve our offerings for the modernization business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Territory-  All Region Americas (USA, Canada, Latin America)
    • Product lines-Modernizations for EOT and Portal Cranes (Woodyard)

      Essential Functions

  • Monthly Rush Financial Reporting
  • Manage sales engineering product training and proactive sales process.
  • Report Quarterly Forecast orders/sales
  • Participate in job analysis evaluating estimated costs versus actual costs (financial, technical solution, logistics and schedule)
  • Marketing assistance in brochure development and testimonials
  • Manage all commercial and business risk factors situation. Issues
  • Manage continuous development process for all three support areas. (Application, production and project engineering)
  • Manage introduction of Konecranes engineered products to leading companies in territory.
  • Manage sales process excellence using Konecranes CRM system.
  • Collaborate with Region Americas Sales Vice President to report market research on customer SMA business outlook for business line.

 

Skills/Experience:

A minimum of ten years’ experience managing in heavy duty material handling or technologically advanced capital equipment sales or engineering application design products. Must have skill set in effectiveness for planning, system monitoring, engineering processes, conflict/resolution management and resolution, contracting, procurement, quality assurance management, with advanced communication abilities. Aptitude to learn at fast pace. Working knowledge of estimating and design software. Must be proficient in MS Office products. Travel 40 to 50% 

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering preferred. Master degree in business is a plus.
