Alexander & Baldwin is seeking a General Manager of Diversified Agriculture on Maui. The position is responsible for agricultural initiatives, irrigation operations, infrastructure maintenance, land and resource stewardship, and farm leasing activity across the Company’s agricultural and conservation landholdings on Maui. Day to day accountabilities include leadership, management and financial oversight of employees and operations, as well as advisory and decision-making support for a range of farm and resource management initiatives, including Kulolio Ranch, Central Maui Feedstocks, East Maui Irrigation, and various tenant-led agricultural operations. The General Manager establishes and maintains a constructive working relationship with partners, vendors, contractors, agencies and other stakeholders, and serves as a community liaison and an agricultural subject matter expert for the Company. A bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of management experience, or equivalent is required as well as working knowledge of agriculture in Hawaii, practical farm operations and land and resource stewardship, including best practices related to soil health and water conservation. Proven leadership and management experience in entrepreneurial businesses, preferably in the agricultural sector. Experience managing complex, multi-year projects from $5-20 million in scope.
