THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Oversee all Plant Operations- Quality, Production, Safety, Shipping, Scheduling, Maintenance.
Trains personnel in all Plant Departments.
Practices JIT with first set-ups.
Establishes high Printing/ Manufacturing Standards.
Full P&L Responsibility for Plant's Corrugated /Graphic Display Manufacturing Operation
To hold Production Meetings at start of each shift.
Makes up & reviews daily production schedules & pending orders.
Trains bilingual crews, etc. in seminars & hands-on at machines on floor.
Supervises the entire Production Schedule & holds Supervisors accountable.
Interviews & hire Production personnel, per Company Policy.
Maintains all inventories: raw stock, in process, finished goods & aging.
Reviews, recommends and enforces promotions, raises, production & safety bonuses.
Knows & enforces Company Employee Handbook & Corporate Culture- "On Time with Quality-No Excuses."
To closely work with Customer Service Dept. in finding best way & time to run orders & help solve customer or company problems.
Works with Accounting to control expenditures & costs.
To oversee & purchase the best machines, service, paper & supplies at the best prices & delivery.
Reduce Set-up times, improve machine speeds, and reduces waste.
Establishes & maintain an incentive system for the corrugator crew.
Reports to President/C.E.O. to provide leadership & coaching, working in a decentralized management structure, with a "can do" positive attitude.
Must have previous Corrugated/Plant Manufacturing/ Operations industry experience.
Prefer someone who has Corrugated Box/ Graphic Display manufacturing experience.
Preferred Degreed (i.e. Engineering/Industrial Manufacturing/Operations, etc.)
Ability to read financial statements.
Prefer experience with ISO 9001-2000 quality programs.
Prefer minimum 3-5 years experience in a Corrugated Lean manufacturing environment.
