What are we looking for ?

This position will be responsible to provide day to day operational support of client(s) within the Trade Group portfolio.  Responsibilities would include and not be limited to, monitoring client satisfaction, liaison to committees, execution of action items, membership recruitment and retention, building relationship with key volunteers and stakeholders, and interact with internal specialized service areas (meetings, Financial, marketing).  Ability to travel on behalf of the client for board meetings and/or annual convention. Support annual convention as it relates to managing registration, programming, and sponsorship and booth sales. 

Growth Opportunity:  While this position will primarily focus on the day-to-day operations, it will provide the necessary foundation and experience to move into an Executive Director role.  The role of ED, is to provide strategic direction, identify growth opportunities, and develop plans to support overall
growth of client.

What will you do?


Monitor day to day accounts payable and receivables for processing.  Manage membership process to include renewals, and recruitment efforts. Ensure client is on track to meet budgeted net profit.  

Operations Management:

Provide day to day support for all committees and task forces which include setting up monthly meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, execution of action items. 

Membership Services:

Manage membership process which includes renewals and recruitment efforts, database, day to day customer service, preparing internal member communications, distribution of communication, and website management. Work directly with the membership committee to execute recruitment campaign. Manage Technical Certification programs.  


Support Annual Convention and ancillary programs that take place in conjunction with the event.  Manage registration process, provide onsite support, interact with presenters to ensure collateral is aligned and is submitted within time frame, and agreements are in place.  Prepares promotion emails, compiles ads, and exhibitor listings for onsite collateral. Works closely with volunteers to fulfill booth and sponsorship sales which include invoicing and payments are remitted in a timely fashion. 

Am I qualified?

  • 3-5Years of Association, Volunteer Management or Membership Related experience.
  • Excellent Communication skills which includes interaction and written communication.
  • Attention to detail and Excellent follow-up skills.
