We are a retained executive search firm, and have been engaged by a $17-million specialty equipment distributor/design-build firm to find a General Manager / CFO who will oversee finance, as well as purchasing, inventory control, I.T., and shipping ? essentially everything but sales.

 

Financial mastery is critical, and an understanding of and exposure to all facets of a small business is critical, including customer interaction. Demonstrated experience in establishing and monitoring controls throughout a business is necessary, as is experience managing and motivating a small team. Cost accounting understanding is a must. Candidates absolutely must have experience with a design / build firm, manufacturer or distributor.

 

This privately-held company is quite profitable, has almost no debt and has a strong balance sheet. Customers range from the Northeast to Virginia. Located in Central Massachusetts, it is within commuting range of most suburbs west of Boston, as well as parts of Rhode Island and Central/Northeastern Connecticut and the villages east of Springfield.

We are considering candidates within commuting range only.
