Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4, Food to oversee the dining opreations at Seabury in Bloomfield, Connecticut. This is a 300 resident upscale retirement community nestled on more than 66 acres of beautiful Connecticut countryside. This picturesque campus is located between the centers of Bloomfield and West Hartford and is just minutes from the Farmington Valley and downtown Hartford and in the corridor between Boston and New York.
In this role, you implement and manage our 5 Star Dining Programs in Assisted Living, Independent Living, Healthcare, with catering services and food retail programs. Responsibilities; financial management, oversight and implementation of high quality systems and standards, impeccable food safety and sanitation, the development of client and resident relations, and innovative training programs for seven managers and 50 (FTE) hourly employees.
You interact daily with residents and clients to provide amazing customer service and program enhancements. This senior level director position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop teams that deliver extraordinary dining services to exceed resident & client expectations.
Your Skills Checklist for this position;
High End Client experience
Background: 5 or more years food service management experience at GM / Director level in high end hotel, country club, retirement community or Corporate dining;
Financial volume; $3.8 million, fee account
Manage other managers (7) who oversee 50 hourly employees
Working knowledge of HACCP, Regulatory Compliance
Computer Skills; Financial, Food, & Labor Management
Fine dining, food retail and upscale catering experience
Capability to implement customer service enhancements
Ability to work collaboratively with fellow department directors

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
