Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management Specialist that specializes in IMS, to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be permanently located in Roy, Utah with some travel to El Segundo, California. Learn more about the GBSD program here
What You'll Get To Do:
Performs as a designated point of contact for the Integrated Master Schedule for the Post Boost Attitude Control Module IPT.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Coordinates schedules, manufacturing requirements, and cost visibility to both the Program Office and the Customer and maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Facilitates internal meetings to support design, production, and problem resolution.
Supports and generate proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 6 years project management work experience in a multi-disciplined manufacturing environment working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills.
Proven experience with IMS work
Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Microsoft Project and Power Point
Must have a current DOD Secret clearance
Must be open to traveling up to 25%.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) Degree
Experience performing PRR/MRA and bringing new products to volume (high rate) production
Experience with Risk Management, Red to Green (RTG) plans, and Forecasting EACs, and managing budgets.
Experience with SAP, Oracle systems as a user Earned value management knowledge
