This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.What You'll Get To Do:Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Coordinates with IPTs for power, water, pneumatic and other gasses required for test of GBSD systems in the ITF.Coordinates with property manager to ensure proper installation of property decals on customer/NGC owned equipment to ensure compliance to DoD property requirements.Verifies Capital and program labor expended and materials used and inspects projects for conformance to engineering standards and codes, building techniques and safety practices.Provides reports to test management on progress to plan for test facilities and provides status to senior program leadership, as needed.Estimates percent completion of projects and advises designated individuals of cost status Travel approx. 25%, when needed, for Vandenberg AFB facilities design, installation and test.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
14 Years experience with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
Previous experience in the design, development, management and completion of test facilities to include special test equipment and experience with management of budgets and schedules.
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
US Citizenship with an Active Top Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)
Mechanical Engineering and Test Design Experience
Microsoft Office experience for creation of presentations, tracking of progress and scheduling
Experience in building installation of special test equipment, build out of facilities for test rack installations and test and assembly tooling installation.
Experienced in property control, capital expense
