McDonald's Corporation’s Robotic Process Developer will be part of a newly formed Global Business Services RPA COE that allows us to optimize and automate processes to drive strategic value. The creation of a Global Business Services RPA COE aligns with two of our Strategic Imperatives: Global Process Improvement and Automation, which requires that we innovate and continuously improve & implement automation solutions to our organization
Assist the COE lead with the development and adherence of automation standards, methodologies, polices and quality assurance activities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to conduct current state process assessments and design future state RPA solutions.
Create function specifications, and independently develop automation solutions based on the analysis of business goals and objectives.
Configure new automation processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
Support existing automation processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
Ability to integrate multiple technologies and applications to create a comprehensive solution.
Analyze and observe processes to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions
Identify processes that are suitable for automation, and provide recommendations to reengineer processes to improve automation potential
Support and/or participate in project planning and communication for RPA initiatives
Build, test, deliver and maintain robotic automation capabilities using industry leading RPA software
Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
Create and document test procedures and scenarios for pre-UAT phases.
Supporting operational business teams during UAT and rollout phases
Interface with our third party outsourcing firm
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science or related business discipline; with a system attitude for implementing automation solutions or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5 + years’ experience in business-facing IT role, or business/process analytics role
Experience with and knowledge of business processes in finance and accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, purchasing, fixed assets and cash management as well as month, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
Experience with script development, programming, maintenance, enhancement and support activities.
Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
Ability to develop design requirements/documents for automation processes.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
The candidate must possess excellent communications skills
Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written a verbal).
Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations.
A self-starter who delivers high-quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team
Knowledge of Automaton Anywhere technology is preferred; however, training will be provided in case of a non-accredited developer
Demonstrated leadership and understanding of project management principles
Ability to work off hours to support system migration events
