Responsible for direct patient care in the Physician setting as directed by the Directors or their designee: Provide high quality patient care to the patients of the practice and hospital; Provide such professional gastroenterology services; Provide high quality in-hospital care to the patients practice; Provide on-call availability to patients of the practice on weekdays and/or weekends as agreed upon by the parties; Assist in the direction to and supervision of the daily operation of the practice, which may include supervising advanced practice providers; Advise the Director concerning the recruitment, selection, retention, scheduling and termination of non-physician personnel providing professional, technical, and clerical services to the practice; Advise the Director with respect to the selection, retention and termination of all physician-personnel and shall assist in the recruitment of physicians as are required for the proper operation of the practice; Advise the Director in the selection, maintenance and utilization of equipment in the practice; Advise the Director in respect to the establishment of patient charges; Maintain the consistency and quality of all services provided to the practice and its hospitalized patients; Maintain full and current medical records of patients, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Physician or other support staff; Exercise diligence in assisting the Director in keeping costs of practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients; Provide other services as reasonably requested by the Director or hospital. Minimal requirements: Completed residency in Internal Medicine required. Completed Gastroenterology fellowship required. Board certification in Gastroenterology required. Federal Drug Enforcement Agency License and State of Illinois License for prescribing of controlled substances required.
