Future Concept Campaign Modeling and Simulation Analyst/Developer

Key Role:
Work with an analysis team on client site at Wright–Patterson Air Force Base to perform classified analyses of future weapon and platform concepts for DoD clients using analysis tools, including THUNDER. Help to support code enhancements for the THUNDER model, including fixing any code issues found during an analysis to helping develop new capabilities for future studies. Read and evaluate advanced intelligence reports to create campaign analysis databases for scenarios 20–30 years in the future. Use these scenarios to perform analyses, including the performance of military communication networks, analysis of Air Force sorties, and susceptibility to IADS and characterize concept alternatives, development planning, and analysis of new systems, technologies, effectiveness, and lethality. Develop and document details for various scenarios and vignettes.


Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with computers and programming

-Ability to compose documentation, analysis reports, and briefings

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or CS

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with THUNDER or STORM

-Experience with Linux

-Experience with analysis and mission– or campaign–level modeling and simulation

-Experience with software development in MATLAB, SimScript, or Fortran

-Experience with statistical analysis or operations research

-Knowledge of data sources, including JCOFA and MSFD
