We currently have a full time opening for a Funeral Director/Embalmer, Apprentice at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, IL. This position interacts directly with client families during their time of need and is expected to assist the Funeral Director/Manager in creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • An ideal candidate has completed or is about to complete an accredited Mortuary Program

  • Desire for FT employment as an apprentice in a Funeral Director/Embalmer role

  • Computer skills (Windows & Microsoft Office)

  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs + Valid driver's license and a good driving record

  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and on call as needed

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

  • Ability to pass both the National Board exams and the State Funeral Board examsat the appropriate time
