Full Job Description
About the role

We're looking for a product-minded full-stack engineer who is excited about building software quickly, working directly with users, and using modern AI tools to dramatically increase development velocity.

At Campus, we're rethinking how internal software gets built in the age of AI coding. We believe the combination of AI-assisted development, close collaboration with end users, and rapid iteration enables small teams to build highly effective software tailored to specific operational workflows.

In this role, you'll work directly with admissions, financial aid, course design, and student success teams to build purpose-built internal tools that help them work more effectively. You'll spend time understanding how teams operate, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow improvements, and rapidly turning those insights into production software.

Success in this role looks less like building machine learning models and more like shipping useful internal products every week. We are looking for engineers who use AI to accelerate software development and workflow automation.

You'll join a fast-moving team at a moment where AI is reshaping software and operational workflows across the company. The role offers significant ownership, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow quickly while building systems that have real impact at scale.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Build full-stack applications used daily by admissions, course design, financial aid, and student success teams
  • Develop conversational workflows, copilots, dashboards, and operational automation systems
  • Build custom software that replaces manual processes and legacy systems with purpose-built tools for specific teams
  • Work directly with internal teams to understand workflows and rapidly ship improvements
  • Prototype new ideas quickly using modern AI tooling and coding agents
  • Experiment constantly with new workflows, interfaces, and operational tooling patterns
  • Contribute across the stack - frontend, backend, AI workflows, and infrastructure
  • Help define how a modern engineering team uses AI to build and ship products faster

We're excited about you because...
  • You're a strong full-stack engineer who enjoys building end-to-end products
  • You regularly use tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, subagents, superpowers, custom MCPs and skills, and you have been reinventing your development process multiple times in the past 6 months.
  • You have 1-3 years of software engineering experience
  • You're highly product-minded and enjoy solving real operational problems
  • You move quickly and are comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • You care about shipping useful software and iterating based on feedback
  • You enjoy working closely with users and learning their workflows deeply
  • You're curious about how AI changes software development itself
  • You're excited by ownership, autonomy, and fast iteration cycles

What you'll get:
  • A compensation package that includes a base salary ($140k - $160k) + equity grant
    • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) match
  • Fertility benefits via Carrot
  • Flexible Time Away + paid holidays
  • In-office lunches for our NY Office (did we mention, we're dog friendly? )
  • Hybrid work schedule (Mon & Fri remote; Tues-Thurs in-office)
  • Social events - happy hours, birthday celebrations, holiday parties, & more!
  • Opportunity to make an impact - you'll be an integral player in bringing our vision to life

Where we're located: Tribeca, NY

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer new H-1B visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring new H-1B sponsorship. However, we can support H-1B transfers and are able to sponsor TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican citizens.
