Top Prospect Group is representing a growing client in Westchester County, NY that is in a search for PHP Developers to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining, designing, developing, enhancing, testing and documenting software solutions and user interfaces (application and web based). Collaborate with the Dev team and internal customers during design, development, testing and deployment phases of the projects and keep current on applicable languages and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively work with the team to design new greenfield solutions
  • Evaluate current solutions, and recommend changes
  • Research and evaluate solutions to issues both software and otherwise as requested
  • Perform a variety of tasks in a variety of roles as requested
  • Stay current on offerings and technologies in relation to our cloud environments

Technical? Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP webframeworks
  • Write clean, well designed code
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain legacy code and systems
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as J-query / JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance as well as common PHP and webservers exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • UNIX/Linux experience
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Skilled in current operating systems, OSX, LINUX, WINDOWS
  • Familiarity with AWS and other cloud based service and architecture
  • Familiarity with current networkarchitectures
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • MySQL familiarity
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Ability to write reports, summaries and technical documentation of new and existing tools or systems
