Job Description
As a Fulfillment Manager of Specialty Operations, you will be responsible for organizing, directing and controlling the activities of professional or non- professional personnel to ensure that prescription orders are filled, checked, and shipped in an efficient and cost effective manner to achieve exceptional customer service and business profitability. Furthermore, you will direct the filling and shipping department of the Fulfillment Center to ensure that prescriptions are filled and shipped accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure efficient "throughput" of work within the filling, quality control and shipping areas

-Ensure proper usage and management of any/all overtime
-Mentor and develop the team - Build your bench....next you, next Sups etc
-Learn and understand Lean/Six Sigma ideology and how to use in day to day work functions
-Look at continuous improvements - work with all employees, level I through Management
-Work on setting up daily goals and metrics - look to meet or exceed daily
-Ensure efficiency reviews and talks with employees - need to meet or exceed efficiency standards
-Will be responsible and respond to any/all Security, Safety and Facilities issues and escalations.

- Ensure that prescription orders flow through the Fulfillment department to meet customer deadlines and ensure timely and accurate delivery

- Facilitate communication for problem resolution and changes occurring in the organization that may impact the workflow of the Pharmacy/Fulfillment areas

- Oversees compliance with State and Federal regulations for designated teams

- Manage the P & L to ensure profitability throughout the process

- Coordinate and escalate issues to the appropriate Fulfillment area to ensure optimal customer service

- Meet with managers and directors of other departments to discuss cross-departmental issues and identify potential solutions

- Communicate major changes within Fulfillment to other affected departments

- Resolve escalated customer service issues

- Provide motivation and management direction to staff to promote teamwork and customer service

- Provide education/training opportunities to allow personal growth

- Responsible for staff adherence to policies and procedures

- Actively participate in the interviewing and selection of staff

- Provide coaching and counseling or disciplinary action when necessary

- Challenge team leaders to identify areas for improvement and potential solutions to issues within the Pharmacy

- Work with Procurement (NBT Team) to review and monitor contracts and product acquisition

- Monitor and review current contracts for pharmaceuticals, shipping, and other related supplies and services

- Determine appropriate cost levels and standards of products and services to be obtained

- Meet with vendors to ensure contract adherence and to negotiate enhancements to services provided

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
- Five years or more experience in a production/operations environment
� At least five years of management experience
� 1 year or more of Budgetary and P&L management experience with analytical ability to make cost effective decisions

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, engineering, logistics, a related healthcare operations field
- Logistics experience to evaluate work and process flow to ensure optimal efficiencies
- Ability to work in teams and coordinate work efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage people and provide effective team leadership
- Attention to customer focus to ensure patients are responded to with accurate and timely information
- Experience in a high intensity, fast paced production environment
- Experience in back end pharmacy would be desirable

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
